Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a highly respected, top-tier law firm in Minneapolis to identify a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of litigation experience. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a nationally recognized litigation team handling sophisticated medical malpractice and healthcare liability matters on behalf of leading healthcare systems, hospitals, physicians, and medical professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage medical malpractice defense matters through all phases of litigation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
  • Manage discovery, including document review and written discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
  • Analyze complex medical records and collaborate with healthcare experts.
  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Maintain direct client contact and provide strategic legal counsel throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active Minnesota law license or ability to waive into practice.
  • 3-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in:
    • Medical Malpractice Defense
    • Healthcare Litigation
    • Professional Liability
    • Insurance Defense
    • Complex Civil Litigation
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience handling depositions and discovery.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
